NY Zodiac

Murder Inc. Exclusive: Were Angela Presti and Giovanni Salamone victims of the New York Zodiac Heriberto Seda?

On March 8, 1990 Mario Orozco was shot by the New York Zodiac Heriberto Seda in Brooklyn. 12 days later on March 21 at 1 am, Angela Presti was shot in the head through the passenger side window as she sat in the car with her boyfriend on a lovers’ lane in Bayside, Queens. Her shooter was never caught and the NYPD never linked her shooting to the NY Zodiac crimes of Heriberto Seda.

Eight days after the shooting of Angela Presti, Heriberto Seda shot Jermaine Montenesdro in Brooklyn. On May 31, 1990 Joseph Proce was shot to death by Heriberto Seda in Queens. A week later, the NY Post and 60 Minutes received letters from the NY Zodiac. On June 19, Larry Parham was shot in Central Park by Seda. He left a note at the scene with astrological symbols.

On January 6, 1991 Giovanni Salamone and his fiancee stopped their car to look at a house with a for sale sign on 193rd Street in Queens. A man approached the passenger side at 12:45 am and shot and killed Giovanni Salamone. The killer was never caught and the NYPD has never linked Salamone’s murder to the NY Zodiac. Salamone’s killer used a 9 mm automatic handgun. Ballistics determined it was the same gun used to shoot Angela Presti in 1990. Heriberto Seda also used a 9 mm handgun. Despite the similarities and timing, the shooting of Angela Presti and the murder of Giovanni Salamone appear to never have even been mentioned in connection with the NY Zodiac crimes.

On August 10, 1992 Patricia Fonte was shot and stabbed to death in Highland Park, Queens by the NY Zodiac. On June 4, 1993 James Weber was shot by Seda near Highland Park, Queens. On July 20, 1993 John Diacone was shot and killed by the NY Zodiac at nearly the same spot where James Weber had been shot. On October 2, 1993 Diane Ballard was shot by Seda in Highland Park.

In March 1994 Heriberto Seda was arrested for weapons possession in Brooklyn. On June 11, 1994 Seda shot a man in Highland Park but there appears to be no record of the incident. On August 4, 1994 the NY Zodiac wrote a letter to the NY Post.

On June 18, 1996 Heriberto Seda shot his 17 year old half-sister Gladys Reyes in their Brooklyn apartment during an argument. Reyes escaped and called the police and Seda engaged in a 3 hour stand off and shoot out with the police. He eventually surrendered and was arrested. Police failed to make any connection between Seda and the NY Zodiac until Seda signed his handwritten statement with a symbol from the NY Zodiac letters. Seda’s fingerprints were matched to the NY Zodiac letters and his DNA was found under a stamp from one of the letters. Heriberto Seda was subsequently convicted of the New York Zodiac crimes and sent to prison.

The New York Zodiac not only killed in the area around Brooklyn and Queens near where he lived, but also traveled to Central Park to kill. Seda not only shot victims, but also murdered a woman by stabbing her over 100 times. There are year long gaps between the crimes police were able to link to Seda. It’s highly probable that Heriberto Seda committed more murders that police have not linked together. Were Angela Presti and Giovanni Salamone unknown victims of the NY Zodiac Heriberto Seda? Why did the New York Police Department fail to investigate a connection or link the crimes to Heriberto Seda?

  • Bullets in 2 'Lovers' Lane' Shootings Are Tied to Same Gun

Police Commissioner Lee P. Brown urged New Yorkers yesterday not to park in isolated areas of the city after the police linked a bullet that killed a young man in Bayside, Queens, on Sunday to a similar shooting in a nearby “lovers’ lane” in March.

Chief Joseph R. Borelli, chief of detectives, said that all indications so far are that the same person committed both shootings, but he added that there was no way the police could yet know that for certain.

“All we know is that the same weapon was used,” he said. “We don’t know if the same person was involved.”

Chief Borrelli said investigators were checking records for any similar incidentsthat may have taken place since March.

He said that there have been other shootings of couples parked in deserted areas, but that none resulted in a death, and could not say how many have been turned up. Besides the bullet, there is no other clue to the gunman’s identity.

He dismissed comparisons between the two shootings and the Son of Sam case, in which 13 people were shot and 6 were killed, mostly couples parked on deserted lovers’ lanes. “It’s too early in the investigation to know whether it’s anything like that,” said Chief Borrelli, who led the investigation that led to the conviction of David Berkowitz in the case.

The man killed on Sunday, Giovanni Salamone, 24 years old, of 30-16 42d Street in Astoria, Queens, was parked in a four-door Nissan with his 19-year-old girlfriend on an isolated section of 193d Street adjacent to Peck Park in Bayside, Queens. Bullet Misses Companion

At 12:45 A.M., a man approached the car by foot along the sidewalk and fired from close range into the car’s front window on the passenger side, the police said. The bullet missed the young woman, hitting Mr. Salamone under the arm and lodging in his stomach, Commissioner Brown said. He died at 5:15 A.M. at North Shore University Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The copper-jacketed bullet found at the scene was fired from the same 9-millimeter automatic handgun used in a shooting onMarch 21 in Queens, when a bullet shattered the jaw of a 29-year-old woman sitting in a four-door Honda with a 28-year-old man, Commissioner Brown said.

The car was parked on a quiet stretch of 214th Street near Crocheron Park in Bayside, about three miles from where Mr. Salamone was shot.

Chief Borrelli said the attacker approached the car in much the same way and the shooting also took place about 12:45 A.M. In that case, the gunman man fired through the rear passenger-side window of the car.

Commissioner Brown said there seemed to be no connection between the two couples.

Florence Lemler

Murder Inc. Exclusive: Was Richard Cottingham responsible for the murder of Florence Lemler in 1972?

In 1972 Florence Lemler was found murdered in Bohemia, NY. She had been stabbed to death and dumped in a wooded area on Pond Road off Sunrise Highway. Her car was found abandoned with a flat tire on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway in Plainview. Florence Lemler was a 50 year old librarian at Syosset High School. She lived in Valley Stream at 34 Flower Road, behind the Green Acres Mall parking lot where Diane Cusick was found murdered by Richard Cottingham in 1968. Her body was found less than a half mile from where Cynthia Constantine disappeared in 1969.

South River Slayer

Murder Inc. Exclusive: Why did police fail to link the murders of two neighbors in a small New Jersey town for nearly 50 years?

On December 13, 1974 teenagers Doreen Carlucci and Joanne Delardo disappeared from a church recreation function in Woodbridge, NJ. The Woodbridge Police Department publicly dismissed them as runaways, but on December 27 the bodies of both girls were found murdered in the woods over 20 miles south of Woodbridge in Manalapan. They’d been beaten and strangled to death with an electric cord.

One year later, on November 20 1975, 64 year old Barbara McDermott disappeared from her bed in the middle of the night while her husband was asleep. A witness claimed they spotted her walking along Old Bridge Turnpike at 3:30 am wearing an afghan. She was found nude and beaten to death in the woods in Manalapan, less than three miles from where the bodies of Carlucci and Delardo had been left by their killer. Barbara McDermott lived at 64 James Street in South River, NJ.

Approximately six months later on July 6, 1976, 28 year old Ann Gorham was found murdered on the bedroom floor of her home in South River, NJ. She was found in her nightgown and had been suffocated by her killer. Ann Gorham lived at 15 Arlington Ave. Her neighbor? Barbara McDermott.

Despite the fact these two neighbors were murdered in a small, quiet town, even after 47 years, police inexplicably never linked their murders. It’s extremely, extremely unlikely that Barbara McDermott disappeared by her house in the middle of the night only to be coincidentally dumped near Doreen Carlucci & Joanne Delardo, and then just happened to have her neighbor Ann Gorham murdered in her home six months later. The sequence of events and locations all point to one serial offender responsible for the murders of Doreen Carlucci, Joanne Delardo, Barbara McDermott and Ann Gorham. One serial killer returning to the same specific multiple locations to murder and dump bodies.

For decades, police have alleged serial killer Robert Zarinsky was responsible for the murders of Doreen Carlucci and Joanne Delardo. Did Zarinsky murder all four women? Or is perhaps another serial killer responsible? Richard Cottingham confessed to the August 1974 double murder of Lorraine Kelly & Mary Ann Pryor in Montvale, NJ. That was four months before Carlucci & Delardo were found in similar circumstances. Richard Cottingham is known to have traveled to the area near Manalapan.

Why did police never link the murders of Barbara McDermott and Ann Gorham? Was it due to the common misconception and frequently propagated myth that murderers can’t vary in their victimology, and that a killer who kills a 64 year old woman wouldn’t also murder a 28 year old? Was it the widely held misunderstanding that because Ann Gorham was suffocated in her home and Barbara McDermott was bludgeoned and dumped in the woods, therefore they must be unrelated because a serial killer isn’t capable of varying the way they do things? A killer who bludgeons and dumps a 64 year old woman nude would never be capable of strangling and dumping two young teenage girls just three miles away….

South River woman’s body found in Manalapan By BOB KNOBELMAN Home Newt staff writer MANALAPAN – The nude body of a South River woman missing since early Wednesday was found last night in a field . between Route 33 and the Battleground Country Club in this Monmouth County township. Police positively identified the woman as Mrs. Barbara Mc-Dermott, 65, of 64 James St., the wife of former Home News printer Wallace McDermott. McDermott had reported his wife missing when he awoke early Wednesday morning, police said. The body was found about 9:15 p.m. by a Millstone Town ship man who reported the dis covery to state police at the Hightstown Barracks. An autopsy performed at the Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, revealed the vic-time died of brain damage and two small skull fractures, according to Dr. James Norton, associate medical examiner for Monmouth County. Norton said the woman’s face was battered in several areas, most likely with a blunt instrument. There were other bruises on the knees and back but Norton said these could have resulted when the body was dragged or thrown on the ground. Police early today said the death was “definitely the result of foul play.” As of early today, police had no suspects or witnesses to the slaying, although authorities from the Monmouth County prosecutor’s office. South River police and Hightstown state police have launched an intensive Investigation into the death. Police confirmed that Mrs. McDermott was reported miss-ing by her husband early Wednesday morning and that she apparently walked out of h e r home toward the Old Bridge Turnpike sometime between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. However, it is not known how the woman got to (he Manalapan site where her body was found about 20 miles from her home. McDermott last saw his wife at 3 a.m. when he went to bed, according to police. McDermott told police his wife had been acting “restless” recently and probably was wearing a pink nightgown and multi-colored afghan when she walked out the back door, police said. Police do not believe she was wearing shoes. Although she apparently left behind her pocketbook, money and eyeglasses, police believe somebody picked her up on the turnpike somewhere between Lexington Avenue and Tices Lane. Police said the afghan was discovered yesterday on the turnpike near a Gino’s restaurant. Last night’s investigation involved stopping automobiles in that area and asking drivers if they saw a woman walking along the road early Wednesday. Lt. Richard Fulham, head of the Squth River detective bureau, conceded police have no witnesses and not much evidence with which to work. Fulham urged anyone who may have seen the woman to contact him at police headquarters. All names will be kept confidential, he said. Fulham, who said McDermott was cooperating with the police in their investigation, said no motive has been determined for the slaying. McDermott worked as a printer for The Home News for 15 years and retired in October 1972. His former coworkers expressed shock at the murder. Mrs. McDermott was a former teacher in the borough and was graduated from Douglass College, police said. Funeral arrangements were incomplete early today. -4 BARBARA MC DERMOTT

Sex Maniac

Murder Inc. Exclusive: Was Marilyn Simons murdered by the “Sex Maniac” Richard Cottingham in 1966?

On Sunday July 28, 1963 Gwendolyn Palmer was raped and strangled in her Greenwich Village apartment in Manhattan. She was a 61 year old widow who had just returned from visiting her son in Paramus, NJ. The killer apparently entered her home through a window via the fire escape. At the time, “Torso Killer” Richard Cottingham was a 16 year old high school student in New Jersey. Was Cottingham prowling the city that weekend in 1963 as a young teenage serial killer? In the press, Gwendolyn Palmer’s killer was referred to as a “Sex Maniac” in the headlines. Fast forward to three years later in 1966…
On February 17 1966, a rapist broke into a Williston Park home in Nassau County on Long Island during the early morning hours. The 45 year old woman who lived there spotted a man prowling on her front lawn and before she could phone the police the man broke down the locked door and attacked her. He asked where her husband was, punched her in the face and proclaimed he was a “sex maniac” before dragging her out the back door and raping her behind a garage outside. The woman’s husband worked at Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corp in Bethpage, NY.

A month later in April 24 1966, 39 year old Marilyn Simons was found murdered in her car in Farmingville, NY. She’d been stabbed nine times and strangled with her garter belt. Her murder was never solved by police. Marilyn Simons worked at Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corp in Bethpage, NY!  Later that year on December 5 1966, Estelle Hague was found murdered in her car in a parking lot in Westbury, NY. The 53 year old widow had been raped, beaten and strangled. Her murder was also never solved by police.
On June 21, 2022 serial killer Richard Cottingham was charged with the 1968 murder of Diane Cusick in Valley Stream, NY. The case was solved by Dr. Peter Vronky after Cottingham confided to him that he frequented a drive-in movie theater next to Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream. The murder of Diane Cusick was then rediscovered using newspaper archives and the information was given to police, prompting them to test the DNA recovered from the Cusick crime scene and see an alleged match to Cottingham. Diane Cusick’s husband worked at Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corp in Bethpage, NY just like the Sex Maniac’s 1966 victim’s husband and just like Marilyn Simons….

Ramsey Rapist

Murder Inc. Exclusive: Did Richard Cottingham murder Elizabeth Wheeler in Midland Park, NJ in 1977?

In July 1968, Jaclyn Harp was murdered by Richard Cottingham in Midland Park, NJ. Almost a decade later, in January 1977, 76 year old Elizabeth Wheeler was found murdered inside her Midland Park home a few blocks from where Jackie Harp had been discovered in 1968. Elizabeth Wheeler was bludgeoned to death and suffered a fractured skull as well as multiple cracked ribs. A ski mask was found left behind by the killer on the kitchen counter of her home.
When Richard Cottingham murdered Deedeh Goodarzi and Jane Doe in a Manhattan hotel room in 1979, he used a fake address of 634 Anderson Place Merlin, NJ. There is no Merlin, New Jersey but police noted at the time that Wyckoff was the only town in Bergen or Passaic County that had a street called Merlin Place. Richard Cottingham, a resident of Lodi in Bergen County, was arrested in May 1980 and implicated in the murder of Deedeh Goodarzi and Jane Doe. Despite the fact that Merlin Place in Wyckoff borders Midland Park and was only a few blocks from Jackie Harp’s home, it took the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office 50 years to link Richard Cottingham to the murder of Jackie Harp. And even though Elizabeth Wheeler was murdered less than half a mile up the road from Jackie Harp, the linkage blind cops of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office still haven’t figured out that Richard Cottingham killed Elizabeth Wheeler too. Soon after Elizabeth Wheeler’s murder a ski-masked serial rapist started terrorizing Bergen County….
Three months after the murder of Elizabeth Wheeler, a man in a ski mask began attacking babysitters in Bergen County. He was known as the Ramsey Rapist, or the Babysitter Rapist and attacked in Ramsey, Upper Saddle River and Allendale. Ramsey borders the town of Wyckoff. He was also linked to attacks in Tarrytown, NY. The police tried to frame in innocent man for the Ramsey Babysitter Rapes but he was cleared and the series of crimes remains unsolved by law enforcement over 40 years later. Richard Cottingham recently admitted to murdering Lorraine Kelly & Mary Ann Pryor in 1974 and dumping their remains in Montvale near where the Ramsey Rapist attacked. Richard Cottingham grew up in River Vale, NJ.

March 11 1980 Richard Cottingham Merlin Place, Wyckoff, NJ
Merlin Place was located near the sites of the Jaclyn Harp and Elizabeth Wheeler murder. Police took 50 years to link the 1968 murder of Jaclyn Harp to Richard Cottingham, and only because he confessed. They never linked the unsolved murder of Elizabeth Wheeler to Jaclyn Harp or Richard Cottingham

The idea that serial killers don’t change “modus operandi” is a myth propagated by law enforcement based on pseudoscience. Serial killers are not confined to presumed theoretical behavioral restrictions or set escalation patterns when they commit crimes. One night a serial killer can kidnap a young girl off the street, strangle her to death and dump her body by a creek. The next night he might break into a house and bludgeon an elderly widow. Maybe he spends most nights prowling around windows in a ski mask looking for teenage babysitters to rape. Or he might decide to hire two sex workers, decapitate them in a hotel room in the middle of New York City and then set the room on fire. The purpose of Murder Inc. is to expose the linkage blindness and dereliction of law enforcement investigating unsolved murders and in the process solve the crimes and unsolved murders that law enforcement is unable to solve due to their close minded linkage blindness.

Creekside Killer

Murder Inc. Exclusive: Was Rose Conaty murdered by the Golden State Killer in Walnut Creek in 1974?

In 1973, a crime report by the city of Walnut Creek alleged there were only three reported rapes for the entire year. Two were at the same address. On September 12 1973 at an apartment complex located at 1450 Creekside Drive. A 21 year old woman was watching TV at 2:00 am when the rapist cut the power to her apartment and then startled her by cupping his hand over her mouth. The woman screamed and was warned by the man “don’t scream”. “I’m just a guy with a knife to your throat” he told her. The rapist was described as white, broad shouldered and having short dark hair. He wore boots, dark jeans, a wool shirt and gloves.
About a month later on October 21 1973, a 31 year old woman awoke to a man in her bedroom around 4:00 am at the same apartment complex. The rapist was armed with a jackknife and wearing rubber surgical gloves. He was described as a white male, 26-28, about 5’9 and 150 pounds. He’d entered through an unlocked sliding glass door and also cut the electrical power from a closet before the attack.
On January 23 1974 Rosa (Rose) Linda Conaty was murdered in her apartment at 1420 Creekside Drive in Walnut Creek. The 19 year old graduate of Mount Diablo High School had been beaten and strangled and was found nude from the waist up with her feet propped up against the apartment door. Police concluded there was no link between her murder and the unsolved serial rapist who had attacked two woman approximately 500 feet away.
On February 4 1974, less than two weeks after Rose Conaty’s murder, a rapist struck again on Creekside Drive, attempting to rape a woman after following her to her apartment. This time the attack was only about 200 feet from Rose Conaty’s apartment but again police declined to link the crimes. “We have checked the cases out but nothing connects” claimed Sgt. Jim Battles of the Walnut Creek Police Department.
Five days after the attempted attack on Creekside Drive, on February 9 1974, a woman asleep in her home on Gehringer Drive in nearby Concord was awakened by an intruder at 3:50 am. He was carrying a torch made of lit paper towels and armed with a knife. After the assault the victim found $25 stolen from her purse and her phone lines cut. The next night on February 10 1974, the rapist struck one block away on the same street. A husband and wife were asleep in their bed when the man awoke to the smell of something burning. It was the rapist again carrying a torch made of lit paper towels and armed with a hunting knife. The rapist forced the husband to lie on the ground at knife point and assaulted the wife. The woman was able to knock the knife out of the rapist’s hand and the husband ran for help, causing the rapist to flee. The rapist may have entered by breaking in the through front door. He was described as in his early twenties, 5’8 to 6’0, husky and with shoulder length brownish hair. East Area Rapist Joseph DeAngelo’s relatives lived less than a mile away from Gehringer Drive at the time according to 12-26-75. [Source: https://12-26-75.com/f/map-links-of-122675]
Two years later on April 5 1976 a woman on Creekside Drive awoke at 5:00 am to a rapist in her bedroom. He told the victim he was going to rape her but she fought him off and he fled.
On September 4 1976, the East Area Rapist struck at 11:55 pm in Carmichael. Hours later on the early morning of September 5 1976, a rapist again struck on Creekside Drive. A woman living in an apartment building at Creekside Drive and Near Court awoke to man holding a knife to her throat. “Keep quiet and you won’t get hurt”, the rapist warned.
Later that same day, 9 year old Lisa Dickinson disappeared in Walnut Creek. Her bicycle was found leaning against a tree in an orchard at Heather Farm Park. Police used a psychic to assist in locating her who led them to Creekside Drive where the rapist had attacked. The psychic had a “creekside feeling” and felt the Creekside Drive Rapist was connected to Lisa’s disappearance. No trace of Lisa Dickinson was ever found. The East Area Rapist would go on to attack in Walnut Creek twice in 1979.

Cynthia Constantine

Murder Inc. Exclusive: Did Richard Cottingham murder Cynthia Constantine three days before killing Denise Falasca?

On July 11, 1969 Cynthia Constantine disappeared while walking her dog in Oakdale, NY. Her dog returned home with the leash still attached to it’s collar, but no sign of Cynthia was ever found. Three days later, Richard Cottingham murdered Denise Falasca in New Jersey. The brilliant detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office took decades to figure out Richard Cottingham killed Denise Falasca, despite the fact she disappeared less than a mile from where Cottingham lived in 1969 and was found murdered 1,500 feet from the Lodi home where Cottingham resided when he was arrested in 1980!

July 11 1969 Cynthia Constantine Missing Oakdale, NY

Being the pigheaded, useless fuck-offs that they are, the Suffolk County Police Department publicly accused Cynthia Constantine’s father of being her killer despite having zero evidence

Cynthia Constantine disappeared in Oakdale, NY in Suffolk County

On April 2 1978 the skeleton of a woman was discovered buried in the sand on the beach at Heckscher State Park in East Islip, NY. She’d been strangled with a belt. At the time Suffolk County Police detectives theorized it may be the remains of Cynthia Constantine who disappeared nine years earlier. It’s unclear if, why or how the remains were determined to not belong to Cynthia Constantine.

Richard Cottingham murdered Denise Falasca in NJ only three days after Cynthia Constantine disappeared but their cases were never linked by law enforcement

Police claimed they had “admissions” from an innocent juvenile friend of Denise Falasca

The idiotic police officers in Bergen County tried to blame Denise Falasca’s murder on “narcotics”

Denise Falasca disappeared one mile from serial killer Richard Cottingham’s 1969 home

Proximity of where Denise Falasca was last seen and where Richard Cottingham lived at the time

Denise Falasca was also found 1,500 feet from Richard Cottingham’s 1980 home in Lodi

Denise Falasca was last seen one mile from Richard Cottingham’s 1969 home and found murdered 1,500 feet from Cottingham’s 1980 Lodi home but the brilliant detectives in Bergen County took decades to link him to the murder. Cottingham was arrested in 1980 and information on his addresses was readily available to them

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office only admitted Richard Cottingham killed Denise Falasca after the information was revealed in a community meeting by Dr. Peter Vronsky

Before Cottingham admitted to Denise Falasca’s murder, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office attempted to frame serial rapist Raymond Alves for Denise Falasca’s murder by fabricating false evidence. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office lied and claimed Denise Falasca worked for the same cleaning company as Alves, a lie that was completely false with no basis in reality.

Anaheim Zodiac

Murder Inc. Exclusive: Did The Zodiac Murder Paula Watson & Dorothy Jane Scott in Anaheim in 1980?

Dorothy Jane Scott disappeared from the UCI Medical Center in Orange, CA on May 28, 1980. She appeared to have been kidnapped from the hospital in her car that was later found burning in a Santa Ana alley. Dorothy had been receiving threatening calls at her home and work prior to her disappearance. Six months after Dorothy disappeared actress Paula Ann Watson was found murdered in her car in a parking lot at Bingo Palace in Anaheim. Bingo Palace was located extremely close to Swinger’s Psych Shop, the store where Dorothy worked that was owned by her father. Dorothy’s parents received calls nearly every week for years after Dorothy disappeared until her body was found located in a shallow grave in Anaheim Hills in 1984 buried with the bones of a dog. Her parent’s received a call from her killer afterwards asking “is Dorothy home?”

May 2 1978 Zodiac Channel Nine Letter Anaheim
Image

The Channel Nine Letter is strikingly similar to the East Area Rapist poem Excitement’s Crave mailed to the KVIE 6 TV Station six months earlier in December 1977

Both letters bring up making a movie about the killer. The East Area Rapist: “Sacramento should make an offer. To make a movie of my life that will pay for my planned exile.” The Zodiac: “Hey – – – you actors – this is your lucky break. Remember – whoever plays me has his work cut out for him.” The letters end almost identically as well. The East Area Rapist: “See you in the press and on TV.” The Zodiac: “See you in the news!” Neither letter was released at the time, indicating the same individual wrote both the Excitement’s Crave and the Channel Nine Letter

The 1978 Zodiac Channel Nine Letter was mailed a few blocks from Dorothy Jane Scott’s parent’s house in Anaheim

Judy Nesbitt

MURDER INC. EXCLUSIVE: Was Judy Nesbitt Murdered by the Original Night Stalker in 1980?

On November 26 1980, Judy Nesbitt was murdered on her boat at Marina Dunes in Newport Beach. She’d received a call at her home in Irvine that morning from someone who claimed he was interested in buying her boat. Judy was seen meeting the prospective buyer at the marina shortly before her murder. She was found bludgeoned and shot in the head aboard her boat, the Felicidad IV. Judy Nesbitt’s home in Irvine is only a mile and a half from the murder locations of both Manuela Witthuhn and Janelle Cruz. Five years after Judy’s murder, her husband’s home in Tustin was broken into by a burglar who stole a handgun and a television. As usual, no one has ever linked Judy’s murder to the Original Night Stalker, even though Manuela Witthuhn was murdered nearby in her Irvine home only two months later. Joseph DeAngelo later named his own boat Scary
