Murder Inc. Exclusive: Was Theresa Clark murdered by the (East Area) Blanket Rapist in 1986?
In June and July 1978, the East Area Rapist struck three times in Davis, CA. These were the only crimes ever linked to Joseph DeAngelo in the town of Davis. Within a few a months of the East Area Rapist striking three times, “another” serial rapist was active in the same town. He was dubbed “The Blanket Rapist” and for some strange reason, the cops nor press ever linked his crime spree to the East Area Rapist, despite both being active at the same time and in the same area. The Blanket Rapist attacked literally two houses away from where the EAR had only six months earlier on a dead end cul-de-sac!
On November 24, 1986 Davis resident Theresa Clark disappeared after leaving a job interview in Sacramento. Clark was reportedly seen shopping at an Albertsons supermarket on the day of her disappearance. Her nude body was found in a field east of Davis in March 1987 by “sportsman hunter” from Sacramento. She’d been beaten to death. Was Theresa Dawn Clark another unknown victim of Joseph DeAngelo, whose “last known” murder was six months earlier (Janelle Cruz) in Irvine, CA?
