Murder Inc. Exclusive: Was Retired Visalia Police Officer Floyd Depew Murdered by the Original Night Stalker in 1985?
On October 11 1985 21 year old Claudia Bush was bludgeoned to death in her Visalia home. She lived halfway between Visalia and Exeter. Police never linked her murder to the Original Night Stalker. About a month later former Visalia Police Officer Floyd Depew was shot in his rural home in Ivanhoe on November 4 1985. Before he died, Depew described struggling with an intruder and being shot with his own gun. His home was four miles straight north of Claudia Bush’s. Law enforcement has not linked these crimes or a single sexual assault to Joseph DeAngelo in Tulare County and they’ve covered up his involvement in the murders of Jennifer Armour and Donna Richmond (which were committed while he was an Exeter Police Officer). Three years after Claudia Bush and Floyd Depew’s murders, Nellie McCarty was strangled in her home in Visalia. She lived a few doors down from Jennifer Armour’s house…
